迪士尼将动画片《匹诺曹》（Pinocchio）改编成真人电影，由罗伯特·泽米吉斯（《阿甘正传》《回到未来》）执导。 迪士尼1940年版动画片《匹诺曹》（Pinocchio）是根据意大利作家卡洛·科洛迪（Carlo Collodi）的《木偶奇遇记》（The Adventures Of Pinocchio）改编的，曾获两项奥斯卡奖。故事主要讲述老木匠杰佩托（Geppetto）造了一个木偶，给他起名叫匹诺曹。匹诺曹一心想成为真正的男孩，但因为撒谎学坏而受到惩罚，变成了驴被坏人贩卖的冒险经历。 匹诺曹的最大特点就是一撒谎鼻子就会变长，这个典故现在也被全世界的人们所广泛使用。 迪士尼不是唯一一个打算拍《匹诺曹》电影的，吉尔摩·德尔托罗（Guillermo del Toro）和Netflix合作，将于2022年12月推出3D定格动画版《匹诺曹》（Pinocchio）。 此外华纳兄弟也曾计划过一部真人版的《匹诺曹》（Pinocchio），还打算让本·斯蒂勒（Ben Stiller）执导，让小罗伯特·唐尼（Robert Downey Jr.）同时扮演匹诺曹和他的木匠爸爸，不过该计划早已没有了动静。
